Board Member’s Column: Cate Cloft
Great news! The 2019 Convention in New Braunfels is set and with help from Brenda Padilla and past board member Ashley Hiatt, I have registration up and running. If you want to see what is offered go to the Texas Chapter Website convention page. You will find details on the schedule and all of the classes. I just finished the intensive Upledger CranioSacral Therapy (CST)1 training with Kim Painter and am pleased she will be providing introductory CST and its relationship to conception, pregnancy and birth. Early registration pricing is good through December 7, and all registration ends on January 7, so secure your spot soon. You can also go directly to registration here.
Other chapter activity includes a successful class October 16 in Dallas on Side-lying Techniques for Quadratus Lumborum with Peggy Lamb. AMTA massage therapists once again provided massages at the Texas Academy of Family Physicians (TAFP) Annual Session & Primary Care Summit held November 9-11 at the Arlington Convention Center. I would like to thank Sharon Fenn, Ruth Bucher and all of the therapists who helped make this a successful event. We donated $700 to the TAFP Foundation with proceeds from the massages.
Dallas needs volunteers to plan events. Please let us know if you are ready to get more involved in your chapter.
