This presentation will focus on increasing awareness around the unique needs of clients undergoing cancer treatment and how massage therapists can safely, confidently, and compassionately support them. We’ll explore common myths and fears, important considerations, and why oncology-informed massage is not only safe—but deeply impactful—when proper education and intention are applied.

Whether you are new to oncology massage or simply want to better understand how to hold space for clients affected by cancer, this talk will offer insight, perspective, and practical takeaways you can bring into your practice immediately.

Human Trafficking & Labor Trafficking

Join the Coastal Bend Region for an important and timely Meet & Greet as we discuss Human Trafficking & Labor Trafficking—a topic that is not only critical to our profession, but also required for Texas license renewal.

Together, we’ll talk about identifying warning signs, understanding how to appropriately respond, and staying within professional and ethical guidelines to help protect both our clients and our licenses. We’ll also have an honest conversation about the real-world challenges massage therapists face in maintaining the integrity, safety, and professional respect of our profession.

EFT / Tapping for Wellness Professionals

Join the Heart of Texas Region for an engaging Meet & Greet exploring Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), commonly known as Tapping, and its role in supporting stress regulation, emotional wellness, and the mind-body connection.

We are excited to welcome Dr. John Baughman, Ph.D., Licensed Professional Counselor (Retired), who brings decades of experience in counseling, education, and wellness. Dr. Baughman has worked in private practice, college counseling, and graduate-level counselor education, and has more than 20 years of experience with EFT, Tapping, and Thought Field Therapy.

This small-group discussion is designed for wellness professionals who are interested in expanding their understanding of stress, emotional wellness, and mind-body approaches to care. Whether you are new to EFT or simply curious about how these techniques may support overall well-being, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn, connect, and engage in meaningful conversation with fellow professionals.

The Golden Triangle region of the Texas Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association invites you to register for a two-day 12 hour CE class, Applied Muscle Anatomy: Palpation, Function, and Practice with Christy Miller.

Let’s explore the anatomy at a deeper level and find ways to identify the root cause of our clients pain and restriction.

Come join Christy as we explore our muscular system and gain a deeper understanding of how our body moves and works.

• Describe the structure and function of major muscle groups in the upper and lower extremities, trunk, and core.
• Identify and palpate key muscles and bony landmarks with accuracy during guided lab practice.
• Differentiate the roles of muscles acting as agonists, antagonists, and synergists in human movement.
• Apply stretching and massage techniques targeted to specific muscles and functional groups.
• Demonstrate integration of anatomical knowledge through muscle mapping and peer teaching activities.
