Regions
The Texas Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association relies on volunteer members to build community and provide educational opportunities to its members. With a state this large, it is important to build community locally as well as statewide. To accomplish this, we look to members in local regions to help create community and educational opportunities. Each region has 1-3 (occasionally more) coordinators helping to bring events to your area.
Below you will see a map of the different regions and a link to the regions. Each region’s page contains information about the coordinators, past and upcoming events and photos, and links to the coordinators.
We invite our members to join in our community events, share your ideas, and volunteer to grow your network and community.

We invite you to join the Heart of Texas region of the Texas chapter of AMTA for our monthly community building meeting on Wednesday June 7 from 6:00-8:00. Location: Johnny’s BBQ 301 Thomas Arnold Rd. Salado, Tx
The focus of the meeting will be to discuss community and what is needed to build our community. Food is provided
This is the first meeting in Salado and we look forward to seeing many new faces.

Join AMTA for the free monthly Meet and Greet in South Houston area.
We invite you to join AMTA for our monthly community building meeting on: Thursday, June 15 2023 from 6:30-8:30 pm at Location: Friendswood Public Library 416 S Friendswood Dr, Friendswood, TX
The focus of the meeting will be: Curating a “Things You Knead to Know” collection for massage – a great resource that will be available for download via pdf. This will be an ongoing project made to promote camaraderie and information exchange within our industry at the local level.

We are excited as we watch our community grow. Join us for our June meeting at the Rose 32 Coffee Bar (location inside Soma Winery) on Jun 23 from 9-10:30 am. We provide coffee and mocktails. Join Christina Hughes from Emerald Bodywork Education as she shares about Oncology Massage and the Oncology classes offered (and supported by Society for Oncology Massage).
This is a great opportunity to learn about this powerful service and meet our fellow therapists. No cost to attend. All therapists are welcome, so feel free to bring a colleague or fellow therapist to meet others, learn new information, and have a beautiful start to the day. Students are always welcome.
