Regions
The Texas Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association relies on volunteer members to build community and provide educational opportunities to its members. With a state this large, it is important to build community locally as well as statewide. To accomplish this, we look to members in local regions to help create community and educational opportunities. Each region has 1-3 (occasionally more) coordinators helping to bring events to your area.
Below you will see a map of the different regions and a link to the regions. Each region’s page contains information about the coordinators, past and upcoming events and photos, and links to the coordinators.
We invite our members to join in our community events, share your ideas, and volunteer to grow your network and community.

Let’s learn about Manual therapy from our own James Waslaski!
Join the Dallas AMTA region for our April 2025 meeting where we will be hosting James Waslaski. James is a published author, educator and practitioner who teaches throughout the world on an annual basis. We are lucky enough to have him right here and he is excited to share some basics about manual therapy.

We Hear You: Dealing with Stress and Anxiety
In this support group meeting, we will talk about how we deal with stress and anxiety. Everyone will get a chance to express their feelings and share what has worked and what has not. Sharing in a supportive environment has been proven to lower stress and anxiety levels. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with fellow massage therapists and be heard!

Join Us for the Meet and Greet at the Convention
In lieu of our monthly regional Meet & Greet, the Coastal Bend Region and Texas Chapter offer a Free Meet & Greet the evening before the convention.
We are excited to see so many people from around the state and have the opportunity to meet, mingle, and network with other massage therapists, the Texas board, and wonderful instructors.
Appetizers and soft drinks will be provided. Cash bar will be available. Join us at the beach in the Sand Bar at the Emerald Beach Hotel in Corpus Christi, TX from 6-8 pm. You do not need to come to the convention to attend. Members, non-members, and students are all welcome to join us for this very special opportunity to network and meet others from around the state.
