Regions
The Texas Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association relies on volunteer members to build community and provide educational opportunities to its members. With a state this large, it is important to build community locally as well as statewide. To accomplish this, we look to members in local regions to help create community and educational opportunities. Each region has 1-3 (occasionally more) coordinators helping to bring events to your area.
Below you will see a map of the different regions and a link to the regions. Each region’s page contains information about the coordinators, past and upcoming events and photos, and links to the coordinators.
We invite our members to join in our community events, share your ideas, and volunteer to grow your network and community.
Visit the Regional Pages to get information on each:

Meeting Rescheduled for January 30
Building a career that is inspiring and financially successful
Join the Dallas AMTA region for our January 2025 meeting where we will be hosting a special workshop led by John James, a distinguished local massage therapist with over 33 years of experience and the owner of the Ke Kino Institute of Healing. kekino.com
John will share invaluable insights on how to cultivate a career in massage therapy that is both inspiring and financially rewarding. For years, this program has been instrumental at Ke Kino in bridging the gap between graduation and building a successful career in our field.
It’s a well-known fact that the average massage therapist practices for only three years, often attributed to burnout. However, John offers a fresh perspective, suggesting that the real issue may be financial instability rather than burnout. With his extensive background in the industry, John will reveal the proven strategies that have led to his own financial success and those of his students at the Ke Kino Institute of Healing.
This workshop promises to begin the journey to illuminate the path from graduation to a fulfilling and prosperous career as a healer, body worker, and massage therapist. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain the knowledge and tools necessary to thrive in our profession!
Location: KeKino Institute of Healing 1620 Custer Rd #1 Plano, TX
Date & Time: Thursday January 30, 2025 from 9-11 am
